A different kind of cinema

One enclosure.
A complete event.

Mu-so Hekla is made for a design-led living room where cinematic scale matters, but multiple loudspeakers, racks and cable routes do not belong in the visual language.

Seven front-facing drivers anchor dialogue and screen action. Four side drivers widen the presentation, while four upward-firing drivers create height. Focal’s beamforming and crosstalk-cancellation processing shape those outputs into an immersive field.

It is not a shortcut to a conventional dedicated theatre. It is a carefully engineered alternative for premium television rooms, apartments and secondary lounges where simplicity is part of the brief.

Living-room cinema

Less equipment.
More room to live.

Connect a compatible television by HDMI eARC, place Hekla in a clear central position and let the room become the screen’s acoustic extension. Optical Toslink is available for legacy sources, while the RCA output leaves a route to an external subwoofer.

Inside the sound field

Fifteen drivers.
One coherent space.

The acoustic architecture distributes sound across the front, sides and ceiling plane. Each transducer is individually amplified and directed to serve a defined part of the presentation.

Front · 07

Dialogue & impact

Three woofers, two midranges and two tweeters form the screen-facing foundation.

Sides · 04

Width & envelopment

Two full-range drivers on each side project beyond the physical enclosure.

Dolby Atmos height

Four upward-firing full-range drivers develop the vertical dimension.

Active control

Every driver has dedicated amplification for precise dynamic control.

One system, many moments

Cinema after dark.
Music all day.

Six listening modes reshape the presentation for content and time of day: Stereo, Dolby Movie, Dolby Music, Dolby Night, Sphere Music and Sphere Movie.

01

Film & series

Dolby Movie and Sphere Movie focus dialogue, effects, scale and spatial movement around the screen.

02

Music

Use Stereo for a direct presentation, or Sphere Music for a broader room-filling experience.

03

Gaming

HDMI eARC keeps console sound integrated with the television and expands environmental cues beyond the display.

04

Late listening

Dolby Night reduces the need for high playback levels while preserving the essentials of the soundtrack.

Tailored immersion

Made for the room you have.

Focal’s patented ADAPT technology analyses the environment and adjusts Hekla to its placement. Beamforming directs energy with intent; crosstalk cancellation helps create the impression of a wider speaker layout from one enclosure.

Decide with your eyes and ears.

A premium all-in-one system should be judged as part of the room—not from a specification sheet alone. Bring your television size, room dimensions, seating position and interior plan. We can review placement, connectivity, subwoofer options and the right Focal route for your home.

Pune & nearby: private consultations are available for apartments, bungalows, farmhouses and design-led secondary lounges. Product availability is confirmed for each project.

Frequently asked

Mu-so Hekla planning questions.

Is Mu-so Hekla a soundbar?

Focal describes it as an immersive all-in-one home cinema system. Its 15 integrated drivers, 660W amplification and Dolby Atmos processing create a much larger sound field from one enclosure.

Does Mu-so Hekla need separate surround speakers?

No separate surrounds are required for its core all-in-one 7.1.2-channel proposition. Room geometry and placement still influence the result, so an audition and placement review are recommended.

Can I add a subwoofer?

Yes. Mu-so Hekla includes a stereo RCA analogue output that can be used to add a compatible external subwoofer.

What room size suits Mu-so Hekla?

Focal specifies rooms up to 40m². The final choice should also consider room volume, listening distance, finishes and the intended playback level.

How does it connect to a television?

It supports HDMI eARC with CEC and optical Toslink. HDMI eARC is generally the most direct route for compatible televisions and Dolby Atmos content.
