AudioQuest Analog-Audio Interconnect Subwoofer Cables – Greyhound
Though its combination of long legs, deep chest, flexible spine, and slender build make it an excellent hunting and racing breed, capable of reaching speeds in excess of 64 kilometers per hour (40 MPH), the gentle, intelligent greyhound would just as well spend its day simply and quietly enjoying long naps in the soft shade. Greyhounds rarely bark, are very patient, show great devotion and affection toward their families, and exhibit a surprisingly friendly attitude toward people and other dogs. But don?t be misled by their distinctly slim conformation: Greyhounds are in fact exceedingly healthy, powerful animals, and they make loyal, loving companions for people young and old.
Our Noise-Dissipation technology is based on the principle that most of the captured RF interference comes from the ground level. AQ’s shielding foil wraps around the cable, covering all of its ground area and reflecting RF energy away from it. This creates an electrostatic shield around the cable, preventing any RF interference from entering or exiting. This prevents noise-induced distortion of equipment ground reference, which in turn improves the clarity of your signal.
Solid .5% Silver Conductors for improved subwoofer performance
Solid conductors eliminate strand-interaction distortion. Solid silver-plated conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications. These signals, being such a high frequency, travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. As the surface is made of high-purity silver, the performance is very close to that of a solid silver cable, but priced much closer to solid copper cable. This is an incredibly cost effective way of manufacturing very high-quality subwoofer cables.
HyperLitz Coax Geometry
A perfect circle of eight negative conductors spiral around a single, larger positive conductor, creating a cable with a large cross-sectional area, minimizing the drawbacks of skin effect, and providing low resistance.
Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Terminations
Greyhound cables are the result of an obsession with the best. Our Interconnect Analog-Audio Subwoofer Cables are created using a cold-welded technique for a connection devoid of solder. The gold-plated terminations ensure optimum signal transfer with low distortion, and the low-profile design offers easy installation.
AudioQuest’s Greyhounds are a precision-engineered version of a popular design. The flat geometry enables accurate signal transfer and the exclusive AudioQuest Carbon-Polymer composition reduces interference. The cables provide an ultra-fast response with deep, tight bass and well-defined dynamics. The Foamed-PE insulation resists distortion caused by heat and humidity, allowing for a clean, pure signal.
