Eshita Marwah’s conceptualization, the Happy Haven is a 1700 square feet abode for a young couple in Surat. Breaking through walls and making enormous civil changes to revive and modernize this 25-year-old built apartment was an intriguing challenge for e-Aesthete.

The entrance through the door which is a bright blue instantly sparks your mood inviting you to an open plan Dining and Living Room. The arduous civil changes by e-Aesthete have given the home a lavish appeal. The subtle integration of spaces with walnut wood finish, featuring eclectic furniture reflects style and comfort.

It’s a tradition in many homes to have dining room furniture that can’t be moved from one space to another and decorations that are purely personal or family-given. The Dining Room features a beautiful Asymmetric wooden table with elemental stools. A wooden paneled window gives access to the kitchen in the vicinity. The living room coordinates with the dining owing to the pair of beautiful wooden folding chairs. The highlight of this home is the vibrant and rustic storage trunks utilized as decor pieces by Eshita Marwah. Painted in bold colors these trunks occupy different corners of the home and give the home a quirky charm.

Having the wherewithal of an open plan layout the home features a huge folding door that connects to the other areas of the home. The kitchen is done in white with checkered walls, and an island table with high chairs for a quick breakfast or tea makes for a classic appeal.

The doors open up to a tastefully curated space with rustic and modern elements that blend in perfectly for a young couple. Accentuating the home are different styles of light fixtures in every space.

The Lounge area captures sunlight in abundance. Dressed in neutral hues this space is marginally elevated from the rest. Floor seating with cushions elevates the comfort factor of this room making it the perfect space to relax and unwind watching your favorite Netflix series.

Remodeling the bathroom into a chic and elegant space with dull gold fittings and an overall marble finish has given the bathroom a royal touch.

e-aesthetes designs do not follow a particular style yet offer the best timeless aesthetic designs conforming to the requirements of the client. Loving the space? You can create your dream abode too by e-Aesthete.

Colorful and Comfortable Seats with Indian Touch to Wall Deco
Multiform seating for the comfort of all
Sitting on a hard surface for an extended period of time can put tension on your spine, create muscular pain for days, and reawaken soreness in muscles that were previously unaffected.
It should feel as if you are supported by a sturdy (but comfortable) seat whenever you are sitting and your spine is in a neutral posture, using just the natural movements of your body. A comfortable chair and a well-cushioned sofa can assist in keeping your back straight and preventing scoliosis.
An expansive Living Room combined with dining at the heart of this residence has a vital spark. Exhibiting great style with its artistic wall accents and simple furniture that has traces of gold in different forms. The traditional bench swing provides an elegant partition to the living and dining area. This room is a perfect welcoming space with multiform seating for the comfort of all. The subtle hued upholstery with a profound use of colors is timeless, and evince the cheerfulness of the family.
A chic Home-Cinema experience with classy interiors along with a high quality home theater system, a walk into their home theatre unfolds an esthetic room with exquisite wall paneling that creates a perfect backdrop for an impeccable home-cinema experience. With just the right amount of natural lighting penetrating into the room, this space with its sheer minimalism defines elegance.
Stone wash basin enriching the look of a basic Powder Bathroom
Stone wash basin is becoming the latest trend in home and apartment design, as this material will help you create a cosy ambiance while also adding natural beauty and sophistication to your space.
Replacing the mundane ceramic washbasin with a stone wash basin has done a resplendent transformation to the Powder toilet. It has given the space an admirable charm.
Grandma’s bedroom designed with clean lines and simple motifs
Grandma’s room is infused with a blend of subtle hues and simple motifs. The clean lines of the wardrobe with a pristine toned wall and basal wall decor blend modern eclectic style with a classic touch. Trifling factors like the comfort of the headboard, the traditional rug, and a quick reach to storage relate well with the elderly in the house.
Earthy hues with an attractive Teal Wall to magnetize the space
The master bedroom is interestingly designed with amazing master bedroom ideas. Complementing the black and brown veneer is a beautiful wallpaper behind the bed. An abstract headboard with colors from an earthy palette is a huge turn-on. The teal wall grabs your attention and breaks the monotony of the neutral hues. The rocking chair, bench, and sleek finish from end to end give this room a tranquilizing feel.
Son’s Room dominated by Royal Blue
For his love of sports and reading, the son’s room has an edgy interior design. The upper bunk to his bed serves as a cozy reading corner, while the little passage beside the bed accommodates his sports interests. A lego effect wardrobe shutter resonates with his affinity towards the game. The brown veneer balances the royal blue, imparting a rich and elegant look to the room. Simple detailing in wood has resulted in smart and practical handles to the storage. Innovative use of linen, pillows, and curtains augments the style of this space. This edgy design has given a room a happening look.
While each room in the house is custom-designed the continuation and cohesiveness of the space is splendid. This house greets you with a lot of thoughtful layering, styling and use of soft furnishings that reflect the personality of its inmates.

An aesthetic Dining Space with clean lines at the entrance
Elementary design with clean lines and a touch of glam is her signature style. Sailakshmi conceptualizes a beautiful connection between people and spaces. Nature is her greatest inspiration for designing. And she feels that your space should bestow you with the same exhilarating experience that the natural environment would. On that account, she ensures the presence of natural light and ventilation in the spaces she creates. “By putting Biophilia into effect you invite a fine transition from outside to the inside and vice-versa”, expresses Sailakshmi. She believes in imparting a voice and identity to your space which would envelop your physical and mental health and will bring out the best in you. The goal should be to make the design clear, simple and inspiring. Her elementary design does the job pretty well.
“There are multifarious challenges that you face and overcome during the design phase. In one of our projects where the challenge was minimal natural light we
looked at ways and materials to enhance and bring in more natural light.
Another common challenge that a designer faces is contrasting choices and ideas of inmates. In our recent apartment project, the man was a vintage lover and the woman wanted a contemporary aesthetic. While it was quite a challenge to accomplish a middle ground we were in awe of the outcome which was a perfect juxtaposition of old and new. I would admit that these challenges help in our growth and learning tremendously”.
“It ought to be my parent’s home which happens to be my first project. I was lucky to have a space for practical experience, which was my own. Committing mistakes and coming up with great solutions taught me so much as a newcomer and lead the way to my existing firm”.
An open kitchen with pendant lights at the island
“I’m not a follower of trends and believe that a design is definitive to the individual space or context. And every creation is a blend of client requirements and the design sensibilities of the architect or interior designer. Designs should be evergreen and stand the test of time”, advises Sailakshmi of SLA.

An Elegant Living Area to give you a tranquilizing feel
]]>Beautiful Printed Wallpaper
An art, fashion, and Design Enthusiast. Sonal Bhatia’s prime focus is to create tailor-made spaces that resonate with the client’s personality which she integrates with her ideas and lookbook. Sonal adds that her frame of mind plays an integral role in the design process. She is currently intrigued by Emerald Green and has done one of her projects in Emerald Green and Grey. White is her all-time favorite and she confesses using a characteristic white marble in just about every project she designs.
Balancing Prints and Patterns
In cities like Mumbai utilizing minimum space to attain maximum functionality is paramount. Sonam vouches on massing and giving a unanimous look to the space in consideration. Giving a single color finish to the entire room will help enlarge the space and lend height too. But, things are a bit different when you are styling homes in Delhi where you have a lot of spaciousness. Your styling can be a bit more bold and dramatic.
Simple & Stylish
Evergreen spaces are winsome, and this is achieved through flexibility in design. She suggests the use of sturdy furniture and subtle walls that you can easily experiment with. White is the most beautiful canvas, and it is always versatile to style. It gives you numerous options to design during festivities. To add opulence and bling she suggests using quirky cushions and accessories. Look for longevity in design and create eternal interiors.
Swanky Glass House Design with Naturally Lit interiors
Sonal derives her inspiration from the look of a home, it’s planning and layout. Her primary focus has always been natural light. Allowing natural light and biophilia to enter rooms is necessitous as it is the key to peace and harmony. Blocking or masking of windows is a strict NO!
A beautiful bath area with a classy entrance
Lockdown had its own restrictions and collecting new accessories was way out. Sonal created this cute Dining wall with everyday things that she possessed in her kitchen. Check this one out for a quick dose of styling.

Elegance Personified
]]>A bright Kids Room designed by Ruchika & Shaily Malpani
From Conceptualizing and Designing Events to designing kids’ jewelry and Interior Designing, Ruchika has unraveled her creativity in a mixed bag. Here is how the lovely designer whiles away her time and keeps herself motivated. “I love reading, whenever time permits. Listening to soft jazz after a long days work lifts my mood. I love travelling and just cant wait to travel once the pandemic ends. All of us at home are water babies, and my husband and I are certified open waters divers. I am a huge movie buff.”
Styling a Wedding Event
They say the seeds for what you are today have been sowed in your childhood. My earliest memory of having anything to do with interior design is rearranging my bedroom furniture every few months to give my room a fresh feel. I remember pestering my mom to do the same with our living room. Seeing spaces from a different perspective and wanting to optimize every space that I saw is something that I have always Loved. I did my Designing course after I got married, and Aced it. Being the institute topper, I got offered a designing job immediately with a big company. But Life had other things planned for me, so I ended up doing my first project, an office of about 50 employees in banjara hills. I have not looked back since.
A beautiful kids bedroom in pastel hues
Travelling is the best teacher. There is so much to grasp when you are in new cities and countries. For me, Inspiration is in a places’ architecture, culture, people, lifestyle and even traditions. I have a few mentors who I look upto for my inspiration as well.
A London themed Kids Room
My personal favorite is a project that is currently in progress. It is a 3600sft Apartment and we got it as a bare shell. We have been able to design to our hearts content for this. We are working with a lot of quirky colors, latest trends, and local artists in this project.
This room looks pretty in its soft shades
The most important quality of a designed house is that the owners see it as a true “home”. It should reflect them, their ideas and their interests in the most beautiful and functional way possible. Furnishings, colors, motifs, art and accessories should mix perfectly with their surroundings, finding a rhythm to accompany the personal taste of the owners.
The pretty bed and storage designed for a girls bedroom
I feel this is one of the best times to be an interior designer, because of the fluidity of the current trend. There are no hard and fast rules and colors are being used boisterously! Whether on furniture or walls, colors are the cheapest and most effective way to add an instant pop to your space. Fluted glass and wood are being used extensively. Arches have made a comeback. Arches add a sense of drama to a room. Wooden paneling has gone modern as well in Clean straight lines.
Another thing that instantly changes your space and gives it a fresh feel is indoor plants. They come in all sizes, and place them on your side table or hang them from your ceiling. It adds the chutzpah. Designers all over the world have started working with artisans and materials local to them, and this is true in India as well. Especially since the pandemic has set in, there is more opportunity to explore the immense talent at home. Rattan has been a part of Indian homes for ages, and it has come back to stay this time.
Furniture makers whether from Delhi, Jaipur or even Hyderabad are getting an opportunity to showcase their craftsmanship. Lights have gone sleeker. The new mantra for lights is – Less is More.
Ending on a positive note the designer says “At the cost of sounding cliched, I dislike dishonesty and detest manipulation. I have lived by the principle of Live and Let Live, and all the current controversies, situations whether political or otherwise have exposed a mean, dirty side of people. Staying positive and content is the need of the hour.” So true, Ruchika.
